TV/.com (2007-2008)
Contract to Warner Brothers
for Telepictures Productions
as "TECHNICAL
MANAGER"
to oversee all technology
to build the worlds first
HD Tapeless NewsRoom broadcast facility and
develop HD tapeless field production procedures
for the FOX Television series "TMZ".
Took TMZ TV (with
fully integrated TMZ.com) from a gutted building to fully functioning
Live (in the Studio, or from the street anywhere in the world) and
PreRecord News HD Broadcast Studio, Broadcast Playout and Web
Production facility in 3 months and continued through the first TV
Season (TMZ.com Website was online before this, not TV). Facilities
include 23 Mac Pro's with Final Cut Pro /FCStudio Suite, Graphics
Workstations (After Effects, Photoshop, Automatic Duck...), Website
production suites, 10 MacBook Pro's, Dalet News Suite, Omeneon Video
Server, HP/StorNext SAN (32TB, expandabel to 2 PETABytes), Apple XSan,
over 100 HP Microsoft Windows PC's for Producers to produce the shows
via DaletPlus News Suite and shared XML across ALL systems (FCP,
Graphics and Dalet), 22 Sony Z1U "Paparazzi" (Trained all Paparazzi)
and more...

DALETPLUS
NEWS SUITE Quick Guide & Apple Final Cut Server comparison I
prepared at TMZ (DARK logo, WHITE logo jumps to Dalet website). DALETPLUS
NEWS SUITE was and is
the MAM (Media Asset Management) System TMZ uses. Dalet News Suite is
an advanced, end-to-end production and automation system
for multichannel newsrooms. TMZ was the first
use of Dalet News Suite in a live news room AND using FCP... IT
WAS BROKEN! With Dalet Engineers, I made it work!
